out of touch, out of mind

In this physical life, when the touch is forgotten, can death be far behind?

what do you think death is?

in this sense, the loss of the physical sensation of living and being physically alive... but it is a metaphor... to answer your question, i have no idea... i just hope it's fun...

It's interesting that you wrote this as "when the touch is forgotten", not so much when the touch is no longer happening at all. I'm sure it's just me, but I find it interesting because this to me is suggestive there is far more to touch than merely a physical gesture, that to remember the touch is to remember something deeper beyond the physical, to remember the heart.

i love that you got this layer of meaning - death of the belief in the sharing of love is much more the point than the end of breathing in these bodies... the touch of the belief in love, belief in self, belief in trust, belief in the transcending and merging of the ethereal expression of caring with the passion of the flesh to understand what might be called the higher consciousness or the god self, the oneness with everything...

believing it can happen in this life, that is living... when that belief fades, when it is forgotten, that is death...

and there is more, always more, but again, i wish more could come to at least this point and share the understanding...

yay you :)
